How We Took a New UK Luxury Bed Brand From Zero to 26x Google Visibility in 6 Months

Overview

A newly launched UK luxury bed and headboard store came to us with a brand-new website and no search presence. In its first month, Google showed the site almost only for searches of its own brand name.

Instead of chasing broad, high-competition terms like “luxury beds”, we built search visibility around the product category the brand could own: high and tall headboard beds.

The approach

  1. The Strategy

We focused on intent-led SEO for a competitive UK furniture market:

    • Category pages built around high-intent product searches (high headboard beds, tall headboard beds, beds with storage)
    • Helpful blog content that answers real buyer questions (fitting a headboard to a divan bed, bedroom colour trends 2026)
    • Product pages optimised for long-tail, size-specific searches (king size, ottoman storage, 48–60 inch headboards)

Each page was matched to one clear search intent, so Google could understand exactly what the store sells.

  2. The Strategy

We implemented a full-funnel Meta Ads strategy designed to systematically acquire, nurture, and convert customers.

  3. Funnel Structure

    • Top of Funnel (TOF): Broad and interest-based targeting to acquire new users
    • Middle of Funnel (MOF): Retargeting engaged users and video viewers
    • Bottom of Funnel (BOF): High-intent audiences including past purchasers
  4. Campaign Optimization

    • Rebuilt the account structure with clearlydefined campaign objectives
    • Introduced controlled testing frameworks forcreatives and audiences
    • Allocated budget dynamically based on performance
  5. Execution

    • Optimised the High Headboard Beds collection page as the main ranking page
    • Published in-depth guides targeting “how to” headboard and bedroom searches
    • Structured product titles and descriptions around sizes, storage and styles buyers search for
    • Synced products to Google’s free Shopping listings for extra organic exposure
    • Tracked rankings monthly in Search Console and refined pages sitting on page 2
  6. Creative Strategy

Creatives played a central role in scaling performance.

    We tested multiple formats including:

    • User-Generated Content (UGC)
    • Before & After visuals
    • Customer testimonials
    • Static creatives
  7. Key Insight

UGC creatives delivered the strongest performance and were the primary driver of scalable growth.

Results

Within six months of launch, the store went from near-invisible to ranking on Google’s first page for its core product terms:

  • Monthly impressions: 713 (April) → 18,613 (September), a 26x increase
  • Total impressions since launch: 67,000+
  • Average mobile position: 16.8 → 10.7
  • “high headboard bed”: not ranking → #8 on page 1

Key Insights

  • Owning one product niche (high headboard beds) ranked faster than competing for broad terms like “luxury beds”
  • Helpful blog guides brought in thousands of impressions and built topical authority for the store
  • Long-tail, size-specific searches are easier to win and carry strong buying intent
  • Steady month-on-month growth shows SEO compounding even for a brand-new domain

Conclusion

By building the site around what UK buyers actually search for, we turned a brand-new store with no visibility into one that Google now shows over 18,000 times a month.

This shows that a new brand doesn’t need years to be found. With the right focus, it can reach page one for its core products within months.
